Today is the day dreaded by many
:scared: Valentines. Dun-Dun-Duhhhhhhh Quite possibly the most over-advertised, over-used marketing ploy of this season. It makes me want to gag. Past roommates and friends used to share candy and give valentines to each other and laugh at the people running around ‘freaking out’ about what they did or didn’t get. “Valentine lovers” would always look and laugh and act like we didn’t understand. That we couldn’t get it. They would say “once you have a boyfriend you’ll understand. It’s about so much more. *insert girlie voice & giggle here*” Well, I have one up on that. UNB is so slack. I wrote a makeup final my second week back to school in January and the mark is still not posted. I’ve tried contacting one of the prof’s but he’s in Chile so I contact the secretary to see what’s going on. It’s been a month. I know the mark is done. It was a darn scantron for Pete’s sake. However, I have now gone over my “extension time” so a mark of F has been assigned to my transcript. (note: it will change once the real mark gets put into the system….whenever that will be!) Somethings never change.
How much info can my brain hold before it goes ka-blew-ee!! I think I’m testing the limits of it today and feeling guilty for not doing this work I’m doing today yesterday. hehe Had I focussed like this yesterday, today would be a joke. I am seeming to retain the info quite easily but that is worrying me. Will I sit down at the exam and go blank!? That is a big fear of mine. Procrastination Break!
So it’s night before a big exam and what am I doing? I’ve finished reading all the chapters and started a slight review but then Criminal Minds (2 hr special) came on and totally distracted me. Such a good episode. It was a mind-bender that’s for sure. Who knew “Dawson” was such a good actor…totally pulled off the psychotic, tri-personality killer. Who knew it was in him. Now you’d think I would be headed back to the books. Well if it was anyone else they would be back studying hard…but you’ll find me sitting here on the couch with John, Dane, & Meghan watching Saw III. It’s definitely more gory…
