Hypocrite….Maybe…
This may go against my previous post but this is not what I meant by being prepared to follow through on your words. (lol) I’m rather appalled at what has been coming out of Ottawa the last month or so…well, since the playoffs started. A bet was made between a DJ (supposedly a die-hard T.O. fan…I’ll discuss that later) and the fans of the Ottawa Senators. If the Senators made the Stanley Cup finals he would do three things: Shave his head and paint the sides red – whatever people do bets like that all the time Belly dance on a main street or something – that’s cool…I’d be amused…

If people don’t mean what they say…
…they shouldn’t say it. I just get annoyed with the cavalier fashion people have with the words that come out of their mouths. In order to be taken seriously and not to make want to plug your mouth with an old sock when you are talking you should be truthful and prepared to back your words up with the action that corresponds. The same rules I have for disciplining children apply here. There are 3 things, well there are more than that, but if you want kids to listen/behave you should remember these three words: communication, credibility, and consistency. Without all three no one will take you seriously, even kids.…

Wii had a blast!
Lisa and Gordon were down this weekend….and Gordon brought his Wii along with him. Now, I’m not one for video games but this system is pretty friggin cool. I’m actually a little sore from playing it so often. hehe A great way to get some exercise instead of just sitting in front of the tv and pressing buttons. Get up and out of your chair and have fun. I’ll put some pics below of the shinanagins that went along with this little gaming system. hehe It was a low-key weekend with a lot to celebrate. What other choice do we have! 😛 (lol) It’s like I said about a month ago to John, we should be glad we are broke. We don’t have any money to fight about! 😉 It’s so true. We don’t fight. I get annoyed/bitchy (*shock*) and take it out on him every so often for almost no reason…sit and brood and then it’s done. Ok, we have fought…well not fought…it doesn’t usually go both ways. Delayed reaction…
So Dane and Meghan are gone. 🙁 They’ll be in Korea in about 12 hours or so. We were surprised by having them come visit before catching their flight in case the weather got bad like was forecasted. Just a little flurries and ice on the cars last night but nothing really materialized. But, better safe than sorry right?! So once we made a bed for Meghan’s really tired Dad and her Mom we thought, “it’s wednesday…..half price appetizers….the Fox…” So off we went. hehe Disappointed with the supposed “candy apple” they gave us.
