Laura’s tip of the day

Tin Foil.

Use it to store your cheese block in after it’s been opened.

It works sooo much better than saran wrap or ziploc bags or whatever. Plastic (ie Saran wrap or ziplocs) trap and/or create moisture, which sucks for cheese.

We’ve been doing this for a bit and for some reason has come up in conversation a few times in the last couple of days so I thought I’d tell everyone that yes, I use tin foil on my cheese. And it’s something you should convert to.

So there you have it folks. It’s out there.

Laura, If you use celery for anything, wrap it in tin foil and keep it in your fridge. It will last for weeks. (I saw this the other day but haven’t tried it yet.)

I have always used tin foil on my celery. It never goes bad that way. Just break apart the stalk and rinse and wrap in foil. I only use celery a couple times a year but doing it this way lets it stay fresh until John feels like eating the leftover celery. 🙂
