The Eagle has landed

The eagle being me. And John. So I guess that it should read, “The Eagles have landed.”

I’m in Fredericton. No internet. No cable. No house phone. Just a cellphone that is our house phone! We should have internet by this week sometime….they said maybe Tuesday at the earliest. So that would be nice. I kind of need my internet as that is how a lot of places are getting in touch with me about possible jobs and whatnot.

I’m cooking up a surprise. I decided that I am going to try something new in the kitchen and if it works, it’s going to be something I make again and may make an appearance as a gift sometime. hehe

For those of you who know what I’m cooking, lips sealed…it’ll be a surprise.

And no, it’s not Lasagna. I am cooking that for the first time on my own in the next day or two but that’s not the surprise! hehe I will let you know how our lasagna escapade turns out though!

Fredericton is hot as Hades right now and I’m lovin it. We’ll see how it goes trying to sleep tonight.

So yea, the Jeep and I made it up fine. That “ditch pig” made the trip in fine style and didn’t burn as much fuel as I thought it might. I seriously thought that I was going to have to call John from the side of the highway or something but it never happened. It’s pretty awesome.

Well, there is my update. Hopefully I will have internet soon enough so I can do this from the comfort of my own home. It will be nice to be able to write when I have the inkling to think aloud for the blogosphere!

PS – We bought some Hallowe’en decorations tonight. A little early, yes, but then we get what we want without them being picked over! 😉 I’m trying to get into the spirit of things, because all hallows eve has never been my favourite day of the year but I’m working on at least getting into the spirit….much to the chagrin of friends! hehe
