This is amazing! A mouth-watering must have! If you decide to bake it, let me know what you think!

5-6 Cortland Apples* (enough for 6-7 c.)
Lemon Juice (1/2 real lemon or 1-2 tbsp. of the bottled stuff)

4 tbsp. Flour
1/4 tsp. Salt
Cinnamon

  1. Mix together peeled & sliced apples, lemon juice, flour, salt, & sugar. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Set aside.

*can be substituted, this is just what I like best. This is what my Gram said to cook with and she’s always right! 😉

Pie Topping:

1/2 c. Flour
3/4 c. Butter/Margarine
1 c. Brown Sugar (firmly packed)
1/2 c. Rolled Oats

Smuckers Caramel Dessert Topping are optional, but oh so tasty!

  2. Add the apples to your pie crust and cover with the topping.
  3. Cover the crust with tin foil and bake for 25 min at 425F.
  4. Remove tin foil and continue baking at 375F for another 30-35 min.
  5. Remove pie from the oven and enjoy!! (if you want to add caramel sauce, now is the time)
