It’s not Friday yet???
So I have been slacking. Yet again.
I’m tired. Work is tiring. But it’s awesome at the same time. Then after supper we have been going for walks and by the time I get back it’s too late to call people and I’m exhausted. I sit down and cuddle with J for a bit then drag my buttocks into bed.
All I know is that today feels like Thursday and it’s ONLY Wednesday. That sucks. That feeling sucks. But at least it’s going to be Friday soon and the best Friday. hehe
I don’t have any plans this week or weekend, unlike last week. I had drinks and dessert & then out on Saturday night.
So lets explain the best dessert I’ve had in a long time. It came as a recommendation from Carli and she doesn’t usually point me in the wrong direction, especially in terms of food. And let’s just say, it was fan-freaking-tastic! I just loved it. It was a white chocolate brownie with vanilla bean ice cream and hot fudge. YUM! Then I must add that I had the best Bellini with it. Mmmmm perfection. The company was pretty good too. We actually invited people to meet us there. *shock*
But let’s talk about Saturday night. We were invited to this local bar to see a Bon Jovi cover/tribute band. It was a good time. The guy actually sounded good. Minus the cheesy 80s outfits and whatnot. However, we were lucky clothes don’t talk. I had a few drinks and many laughs. But the biggest laugh came when Pat went to the bathroom and J went to the bar to get a drink. The “Bon Jovi” came over to Kristin and I and started to sing to us. Then proceeded to get up on J’s chair and shake his bootie. It was quite funny. But still a good time. I would do that again.
One other thing I noticed is that a lot of people have been commenting on my “accent”. Everyone thinks I’m from somewhere different but none of it involves Western or Central Canada. It’s odd places, but many do guess the right part of the world at least. Wrong province usually but right area of the world. I hope I never lose my piece of the Maritimes. I like the way I talk. I like my weird accent. I hope people never mind the “weird” accent that comes from nowhere but everywhere at the same time, and I as long as they don’t mind hanging out with us crazy Maritimers I’ll keep on keepin’ on.
I’m exhausted at 10pm (God that makes me sound and feel old) so I’ll have to tell you all about my escapades at the Dentist another time. The dentist is always fun. Not.
Miss Laura out. (Yes I’m called Miss Laura all day….I’ve grown accustomed and actually kind of like it).
