Home for a Rest

I took it upon myself to “tell” John that he must learn ‘Home for a Rest’.  I don’t know why after all these years I just think now that he should learn it. It has a great intro and it would be a great campfire song if you ask me. hehe  But he’s been plucking away for a couple days now and it’s coming along nicely.  It is music tome my ears.

I’m actually sitting here right now listening to the boob-tube and him work away at the solo.  He’s got the timing now and it’s just a matter of remembering it all. It’s a lot of notes to do without reading along. But it’s not a song that can be read along to at the same time as playing.

Maybe one day I can ‘show’ you hubby playing me the song. I can share my joy with you. But I probably won’t. I’ll keep it to myself and use it to draw you out to me. Muahahaha!
