Soft Ginger Molasses Cookies

3/4 c. butter
1 c. light brown sugar, packed
1 egg
1/4 c. molasses
2 1/4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. cloves
Granulated sugar

1. Cream butter and sugar; add egg; mix.
2. Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
3. Make into balls the size of walnuts and roll in granulated sugar.
4. Bake at 375 degrees for 9 minutes.
**They should be very soft to the touch. They harden when they cool. Do Not Over-bake or the cookies will be hard.***
