Snickerdoodles

1/2 c. Butter (softened)
1/2 c. Shortening
1 1/2c. White Sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. Vanilla
2 3/4 c. Flour
2 tsp. Cream of Tartar
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1/4 tsp. Salt

2 tbsp. White Sugar
2 tsp. Cinnamon

  1. Preheat oven to 400F
  2. Cream butter, shortening, and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla.
  3. Blend in flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt.
  4. Shape into balls and roll in cinnamon-sugar mixture. Place approx. 2″ apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  5. Bake 8-10 min until set (it’s always 10 min in my stove). Remove immediately from the cookie sheets and enjoy!
