2009,  House,  random

1 week

It’s Friday.  I just had a soak in my jacuzzi tub and am watching “Days of Thunder.” Ahhh, what a life!

The first week in our new house is over.

It’s been a whirlwind and so tiring at the same time.

Once we got everything into the house and got the important rooms functional, that’s where our progress stopped.  We had to clean our condo. Now that was a chore.  To come home and relax for a minute, eat, and then head over to that place took a toll that’s for sure.

We ended up going over Tues-Thurs night for a couple hours each night. We could have done it in 2 had we not have forgotten stuff the second night and needed to touch up where we had to putty.  But last night it was just a few hours of painting, mopping and the final sweep of the vacuum.  We probably put in 4ish hours total, maybe a little more, but its in mint condition. Better than when we moved in so we had better not hit any hitches with it.  That damage deposit would be nice. Sooner the better if you ask me. I think we are going to use to renovat e that second bathroom. We were debating putting it to debt, or buying furniture for the front room but in all honesty, the second bathroom is needed most.

Yea, we have an empty front room but I really don’t mind. Plus, in the corner there is still a pile of boxes and stuff and without having the furniture there is no big rush to unpack them. Therefore meaning more relaxation for us.

Sidebar. Frig, I love this hd pvr thing that came with the house. It’s friggin’ awesome! Pausing and rewinding live tv is. the. shit.  Being able to record shows on at the same time to watch later=cool beans. Not having to download tv anymore=sweet deal. I love free stuff.

I love being able to watch good ol’Steve Murphy back home when I so desire. Being able to watch my finales at whatever time I want, due to timeshifting, really works well with my schedule. If it doesn’t, I can record it. Yea.

So we’ve got great use out of our stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer. And it’s all good to go. It’s all in great working condition. I really am in love with the bake mode in the oven. I’d also have to say that having a rack in my microwave is friggin’ sweet and having dishes cleaner than the day I bought them come out of the dishwasher is just what our utensils and dishes needed.

Oh I’m in love.

Can’t you tell!?

Well that is enough for now. I’m off to do some laundry while dear J is at the gym. I need to be semi-productive to make myself feel better for not hitting up the gym with him. Ever. Well, I didn’t even join. No gym for me since Nautilis in Moncton closed.

Happy Friday all!

PS – Come visit soon!
