V-a-c-a-t-i-o-n (Day 30)
So J and I were able to get away on our anniversary vacation. Maybe not on the days we had planned for months ago, but we got away nonetheless. And we made the best choice. It was beautiful. Breathtaking. Peaceful. Just what I needed. I couldn’t believe that the Lake (& Lake Moraine) were just as blue/green that magazines and the tv show you. This photo was taken while we were canoeing around Lake Louise (aka “Lake of Little Fishes” then “Emerald Lake” ). I have so many pictures to share. This blog may become an advertisement for Lake Louise/Banff in the upcoming weeks! I would say everyone needs to…

Photos Photos on the Wall
We are finally getting around to hanging pictures on our walls. It’s a harder task than I had imagined that is for sure. We have so many and so many more we want to hang. But this was the first ‘for sure’ thing that we did. I had an image and this fit it perfectly. It’s the wall behind, or beside whichever you want to call it, our dining room table. The next big thing we want to hang is a photo wall filled with photos from home and maybe some scenery we’ve taken photos of in our travels. But we can’t decide which room and on which wall and…

Our Clematis Bloomed!! (Day 28)
So it was suspected that our clematis would be dormant until next year or it had bloomed already before we bought it since we bought it real late in the gardening season. But lo & behold it began to bud and one finally opened. And we have several more. Each time I check the plant there seems to be more buds and the ‘vines’ are longer and twisted. It’s pretty sweet. I saw this plant growing outside of one of our local greenhouses and knew I had to have it. Then J put up this great trellis and then the magic happened. It grew and grew and flowered. Isn’t it…

Anniversary Dinner (Day 27)
I meant to take a picture before I ate and mangled the plate all up. But it was so good. I can’t even describe. It was Chicken Cashew Nuts and it was to die for! So excuse the mess but enjoy it’s delicious-ness vicariously through me. I started with Spring Rolls then onto this chicken cashew nut and then finished off with a Mango Berry Cheesecake on a shortbread crust. Mmmmmm…. not to mention this sweet drink I had called a “Thai tanic”. J had Chicken Sa-tay to start, then Thai BBQ chicken with Salad, and Deep fried Bananas with Ice Cream. And he *might* have had a mango colada…

Happy 3 Years to Us (& Day 26)
“Somehow I know Without asking why That you love me more in a minute Than anyone could in a lifetime” ~Amanda Marshall These words are just as important now as they were when I was saying them nervously & excitedly 3 years ago. I take this time to re-read our vows every year. In the presence of God and before these witnesses, I L.aura take you J.ohn to be my husband. I will treasure our friendship, and love you today, tomorrow, and forever. i will trust and honour you. i will laugh and cry with you, and share my life openly and honestly with you. i do not take you…
