    New Year’s Eve 2006….

….if you weren’t here you missed an awesome time! We rang the new year in with…not exactly style and grace…but fun and drunken stupidity. LOL Ok, so stupidity actually wasn’t involved but it sounds better I think. 😉 Football, hockey, video games, punch, jello shots, beer and great friends. Who could ask for more!? If you weren’t here, you should be asking yourself why not? Did you honestly have a better time that we did? Doubtful. hehe It was different not being in Stellarton or Moncton for New Years, that’s actually a first but it was so worth it…I haven’t laughed that hard in a long, long time. I needed…

    Our 1st Married Christmas

Well, it definitely wasn’t what we had expected and it has been bittersweet to say the least. Our heart was elsewhere but we tried to make the most of it and we succeeded for the most part…just a few “alterations” to our plan. We spent one afternoon in Moncton and then were back in Freddy. We are going to celebrate Christmas in Nova Scotia sometime soon….we all hope anyways! 😉 Again we had a big Christmas dinner just the two of us. It was a candle lit Christmas dinner by the tree. We had soooo much food. Unlike Thanksgiving we actually used a table and not a coffee table! haha…

Our ‘turkey day’ was today…Monday the 9th. We bought a 12lb turkey…yes a lot for 2 people but it was a good price and John loves hot turkey sandwiches so I don’t have to worry about suppers for a few evenings! LOL We even made all the trimmings….stuffing, potatoes, corn, cranberry sauce, pickles, turnip, gravy. I didn’t think the gravy was going to turn out initially but eventually it took shape and John likes it. I never made turnip before…

    Boxes, Boxes, & More Boxes

The FREX, baking cookies, making chili, semi-early mornings….this must mean it’s Fall and school has sprung. Boo to that. I’ve been looking out for work and hoping something pops up soon. I’d much rather be working than school….part-time classes and full-time daycare work would be ideal! 🙂 *fingers crossed* We’ve finally made it through all of the boxes, well most of the boxes and the apartment is slowly coming together. Still no couch though…that’s enroute. After the couch, a coffee table will be next on the agenda. I think it’s still going to look like a “university apartment” but we’re trying to make it more mature or whatever. haha The…
