Addictive
So this game is highly addictive. I’ve played for 5 min and got 15 or something… 35 more to go. But I don’t have time. The repair guy is going to be here in a minute to fix our furnace/ac…. yes, it’s a new house but whatever, it’s covered bumper to bumper for a year. It’s like they said when we moved in, “you are bound to find things wrong….just make a list.” Well, big thing. Turn on the ac and lo & behold no furnace. A short. A short that was easily fixed, the electricians messed up a ground outside on the ac unit so the guy is gone…

We have trees
So our desert…I mean backyard..it’s now just a little less barren. We have 2 trees now in the ground. Still nameless though. We may just go with a simple play on words and call them “Crabby” and “Debbie”. It’s kind of fitting since it’s a crab apple tree and a Deborah maple. But if we can think of something better, we will change it. It might just be temporary. But good enough for now. So without further ado, here is Crabby and Debbie. PS – The burn is nothing like it looks. It’s just red. No pain. Weirdest thing about it all…my face is still pale as it was 3…

Progress is at hand
Things are progressing. We’ve bought 2 trees for our back yard. A beautiful Thunderchild Crabapple tree and a Deborah Maple. I’ve never seen a Maple tree like it. It’s leaves look Bronze. They are green and this rustic purple that make it look purple. It supposedly changes an orange-yellow-red in the fall but it’ll be real subtle, if at all, because we don’t get the right weather to make trees look like trees back East. Oh well. I still love my tree. Oh yes, this crab apple tree is awesome as well. They are very hardy here in the Hat and I just love them this time of year. The…

Loving living in 362
So it was the first full weekend in our house with things, well the important things, completely unpacked. And what did we do?! Go to Calgary. And spent too much money I might add But it had to be done. I needed to get my bridesmaids dress for next month and we had to pick up a slipcover for our couch. That the drycleaner/seamstress had ruined. But if you are going to Cowtown might as well make the most of it and make our rounds. We had to go shopping and dining is a must. We can never go there without going into Old Navy and Williams-Sonoma. And we bought…

1 week
It’s Friday. I just had a soak in my jacuzzi tub and am watching “Days of Thunder.” Ahhh, what a life! The first week in our new house is over. It’s been a whirlwind and so tiring at the same time. Once we got everything into the house and got the important rooms functional, that’s where our progress stopped. We had to clean our condo. Now that was a chore. To come home and relax for a minute, eat, and then head over to that place took a toll that’s for sure. We ended up going over Tues-Thurs night for a couple hours each night. We could have done it…
