Today is the day dreaded by many
:scared: Valentines. Dun-Dun-Duhhhhhhh Quite possibly the most over-advertised, over-used marketing ploy of this season. It makes me want to gag. Past roommates and friends used to share candy and give valentines to each other and laugh at the people running around ‘freaking out’ about what they did or didn’t get. “Valentine lovers” would always look and laugh and act like we didn’t understand. That we couldn’t get it. They would say “once you have a boyfriend you’ll understand. It’s about so much more. *insert girlie voice & giggle here*” Well, I have one up on that. I have a husband and I still don’t care for the day. So :p.…

Ring is in! (edited)
John called after he got home from school and called ready for a battle but the ring is in! Now hopefully all the work has been done and it looks as good as new. 🙂 We’ll know shortly! I can’t wait to have it back on my finger. 🙂 ETA (7:25pm): The ring is back safe and sound on my finger. Man is it ever sparkling. I’m staring at it like I did right after I was first given it. Raycroft’s Moustache…
is back. You know what this means? It means the Leaf’s winning streak is probably going to end tonight. I’ve said all season that Raycroft can’t be a good goalie until he gets rid of the crust-ache. He did over a week ago and hasn’t lost since. However, I saw an interview with him today and it’s back. Nastier than ever. Hopefully he shaves before game time…if not, hopefully my theory doesn’t prove to be right. Go leafs go!

My body is a warzone and the germs are winning
This post might be a bore…my creative juices are lacking. They have been overtaken by the germies. My body is fighting this nasty cold I seem to have contracted. John has it too. Chris woke up not so well. Our apt. is full of germs. I’m going to spend all week disinfecting I swear. I don’t know if I can make it through my night class or not. I’ll have to figure out if I’m going to go or not. It’s hard to know if I could manage. I may go until the break but we’ll see what I feel like in 4 hours. Dr. John ordered me to lay…

“Being Twenty-Something”
**Note this is not written by me. I received it in my inbox a few years ago and I find it so true and relevant that I might share. Enjoy.** They call it the “Quarter-life Crisis.” It is when you stop going along with the crowd and start realizing that there are many things about yourself that you didn’t know and may not like. You start feeling insecure and wonder where you will be in a year or two, but then get scared because you barely know where you are now. You start realizing that people are selfish and that, maybe, those friends that you thought you were so close…
