Houses and Babies
Babies and houses! It seems each time I talk to someone they are buying a house (which by the way, every person I know who is getting a house is getting it within 3 days of each other!) or is having/had a baby. I was feeling a bit down today. I went to work and it was nap time when I came in. One of the kids who likes to cause me grief was awake….of course! (lol) He always tries to talk to me during nap time because he knows he’s not allowed to talk but thinks that because I’m a teacher it’s ok. …and you should be too! With skin cancer being so prevalent and the media stresses that being tanned/bronze is what is “in.” What’s “hot.” What everyone should strive for. *puke* It’s rare you see those “models” (I use that term lightly) use sunblock. It’s like hidden from view. Not something thought about. Not something stressed. It needs to be out there. Melanoma is the leading cause of death for women between 25-30. Now that I’m not a nanny I’m no good?! WTF ever. I have no time for these goings on. It’s just what I’m feeling. I was only good for you when I was “of use.” And of use has many different meanings in this particular case. I just thought you were better than that. I thought you were more than that.
