    I am still around

Ok, bad blog writer here. Itt’s been weeks. You are all just lucky I got pulled over and John got a video or I would have been absent from this cyber space even longer. I’m not sure why I haven’t written. Well, I do know that I’ve been ridiculously busy around the house. We came back and relaxed for a few days (well evenings since we worked in the day) and then started the house stuff. We gutted and cleaned the place. Had visitors in Carli’s Mom & Peter on Saturday. Then we weeded the whole front lawn in prep for topsoil and sod. Then we drywalled one wall in…

I guess Mother Nature didn’t get the Memo

So look closely. Look what I woke up to at 9am. We’ve never had wet snow before today. lol How on Earth does it go from 27 to snow overnight?! So strange. The snow has stopped though. It was supposed to rain and for some reason it snowed wet snow at 2°C and now it has stopped but still. Weather in AB is so weird. Our poor trees. I was shocked. They are probably shocked. Hopefully they don’t shrivel up and die. Then we saw how droopy the branches are because it’s actually wet snow so J jumps out of bed to shake the off the trees. Hopefully no branches…

    Progress is at hand

Things are progressing.  We’ve bought 2 trees for our back yard. A beautiful Thunderchild Crabapple tree and a Deborah Maple. I’ve never seen a Maple tree like it. It’s leaves look Bronze. They are green and this rustic purple that make it look purple. It supposedly changes an orange-yellow-red in the fall but it’ll be real subtle, if at all, because we don’t get the right weather to make trees look like trees back East. Oh well. I still love my tree. Oh yes, this crab apple tree is awesome as well. They are very hardy here in the Hat and I just love them this time of year. The…

    Loving living in 362

So it was the first full weekend in our house with things, well the important things, completely unpacked. And what did we do?! Go to Calgary. And spent too much money I might add But it had to be done. I needed to get my bridesmaids dress for next month and we had to pick up a slipcover for our couch. That the drycleaner/seamstress had ruined. But if you are going to Cowtown might as well make the most of it and make our rounds. We had to go shopping and dining is a must. We can never go there without going into Old Navy and Williams-Sonoma. And we bought…

    Wow. Talk about beautiful weather

So check this shit out. Unfrickin’ believable. I have been wearing sandals & capris for weeks. It’s been in the high teens and even reached the 20s. But look at this. 26°c. It’s pretty sweet. It’s our only perk for living here. The weather. It’s beautiful. Just thought I’d “rub it in” to all those still with and getting snow/winter weather.
