Strange night in Lauraland
So I had the weirdest experience last night…I have no idea what was going on outside but it was weird. The sun was just rising, or so I think it was that early because the window looked kind of pink and there is no way in Hell I can see the alarm clock from where J has it. But seriously, it sounded like there was an assault going on outside our condo. It was the strangest sound coming from this lady and weird hitting wood sounds and male voices…I still have no idea what was going on. I didn’t go to the window. J did though. We thought it was…

Long Past Due
I finally fixed the video that was supposed to play on my rapelling at Cape Enrage blog. It’s been over a month now and just remembered yesterday that it did not play. How could have a blog about something so cool and not have the pics to back it up. Well it’s fixed now. So search for “rapell” or go to the entry on June 17th if you want to view the coolness that was that weekend! 😉 Also, as some may have noticed that somewhere in the last month the header on the pages have changed. That’s right, I finally got around to personalizing it. Making it my own…

Tomorrow’s just a day away
This time tomorrow I will be high above the clouds on the first leg of my journey to AB. It seems so long ago that J began the same journey and it’s not until today, after I checked-in, did it start to feel real. Like it was happening. Now I don’t know what to do with myself. Such a bag of mixed emotions. Sad to leave. Happy to see J. Excited about new beginnings. Apprehensive about the ol’West. Did I mention I’m excited to see J. hehe I honestly can’t believe that this time tomorrow, I’m gone. I’m outta here. Wow. It’s starting to feel all too real now. But…

Last afternoon in the PC
In a few short hours, I will be driving away from the place I’ve always known as home to the place that is going to become my new home with J. The past few days have been pretty good. I’ve got to do almost everything I wanted to do but of course, life had other plans in mind. I did manage to get to Dad’s and I was going to go to the beach one final time with Mom but ‘Charles’ had another thing in mind. I couldn’t escape the Maritimes without Jeep troubles. One for the road I guess. Charles had different plans and it wouldn’t have been the…

THIS Friday
My last week as a Maritimer has begun. By the end of the week I will be a Maritime transplant in the big ol’province of AB. It seems so far away but I know it’s not. The weather channel tells me so because the day I’m leaving is part of the forecast. So I know it’s close. The weather looks like it’s going to be decent on Friday, not that it matters though. But what does matter is the weather this week and it’s going to be beautiful. Sun, sun, sun and more sun. The heat is going to be around as well. Mother Nature must be aware of my…
