    Mirror, Mirror

When I look in the mirror, all I see is you. Just you. I’m tired of looking at you. Being like you. Acting like you. No one likes you, you know. At least I think I know. Go away. Far away. Don’t come again another day. Where did you go? What did you become? Why are you there? Do you like it? Are you happy? Mirror, tell me… Tell me why when I look in the mirror all I see is you…

    Proud to be pale…

…and you should be too! With skin cancer being so prevalent and the media stresses that being tanned/bronze is what is “in.” What’s “hot.” What everyone should strive for. *puke* It’s rare you see those “models” (I use that term lightly) use sunblock. It’s like hidden from view. Not something thought about. Not something stressed. It needs to be out there. Melanoma is the leading cause of death for women between 25-30. I bet many don’t realize that. I sure didn’t until last year. I’ve heard many people say, “it’s just skin cancer”, “it’s better than another cancer alternative”, etc etc. Uh, I think not. In theory you may believe…

    Vibes

Now that I’m not a nanny I’m no good?! WTF ever. I have no time for these goings on. It’s just what I’m feeling. I was only good for you when I was “of use.” And of use has many different meanings in this particular case. I just thought you were better than that. I thought you were more than that. I thought we were more than that. Just strange vibes. I had the conversation I needed today about other weird vibes. A great friend put my mind to ease and told me to forgot all that other stuff. What she said made sense. I wondered why I never thought…

    I am content

Being content. What does that mean? It’s the “thing” that many people strive for. The thing they are constantly looking out for. It’s the thing people are focusing on, allowing their life to pass them by. People can’t just be. They are always wanting more and focusing on the “more.” Is there anything wrong with that? In theory, no. People should always want more for themselves. Always want to push themselves further. It’s one of the basic “human” drives. However, to not be able to appreciate the “moment” means everything is wrong with “wanting more.” If you can’t sit back and appreciate what just happened, what you just bought, what…

    Hypocrite….Maybe…

This may go against my previous post but this is not what I meant by being prepared to follow through on your words. (lol) I’m rather appalled at what has been coming out of Ottawa the last month or so…well, since the playoffs started. A bet was made between a DJ (supposedly a die-hard T.O. fan…I’ll discuss that later) and the fans of the Ottawa Senators. If the Senators made the Stanley Cup finals he would do three things: Shave his head and paint the sides red – whatever people do bets like that all the time Belly dance on a main street or something – that’s cool…I’d be amused…
