Come see, come see!

I think I’m in love.

It is such an exquisite piece of machinery.

The only thing I have left is to name her.

Any ideas??? It hasn’t come to me yet. I’m sure it’ll just pop into my head at the weirdest time. But maybe you guys will come up with the perfect one for me.

I’ll give you some info about her. It’s a kitchenaid. Obviously. The colour is called Nickle Pearl. It’s a Professional model, 6 series…610 actually. I’m calling it a her…but if you have a really cool ‘him’ name I’ll consider changing the gender. lol I’ve been trying a play on words with the colour but nothing has come together….yet.

As soon as we got home from W.S. last night I opened the box and unpacked my new found love. Which, by the way, goes well with my measuring cups of awesomeness!

But it was too late last night to bake anything. I was tired and 11pm or so isn’t the time to start baking. No way. So off to bed we went. As soon as I woke up I wanted to be up and baking but I forced myself to stay in bed until 9am at least. haha God I’m such a geek.

We thumbed through my recipe box and found what we wanted to bake. We decided on chocolate chip cookies (for John) and my choice, Snickerdoodles. We also decided that we would make the dip we are having for supper with the mixer as well.

So first thing we made is the chocolate chip cookies which meant it’s first use was for 2 eggs to get whipped for the cookies.

It whipped them quite well and real fast to boot. It was nice and frothy within seconds. Perfect for the chocolate chip cookies.

The end results for the cookies. Ready to be spooned onto the cookie sheet. I will have to say that this is the fastest and easiest way I’d ever made cookies. Especially considering I doubled the batch and that would have been fun with my wooden spoon and all that flour.

Next came supper. The Nacho/Taco dip. It creamed the cream cheese, sour cream, and taco seasoning in record time. Just drop it in and walk away.  You can clean up while this thing is working. It’s pretty sweet.

Look at all the delicious Snickerdoodles.

It’s all cleaned up for the day and sitting there looking pretty, waiting to be used again. I can’t wait to use it to make my meatloaf or meatballs. It’ll do the mixing for me. Oh there are so many uses for this beautiful machine. I’m sure there will be ongoing updates about the mixer.

So I’ve fallen in love….yet again. I don’t know how John puts up with me and my love of all things kitchen and baking. But really, it doesn’t get any better or any more expensive than this. Ok, that’s a lie. There are things more expensive but for a small appliance, there isn’t anything more expensive that I need/want.

So enjoy the pics of my beauty and be ready for lots of baking adventures with her.

Thank you Williams-Sonoma and Kitchenaid.
