Still here.
I promise I’ll get back to blogging. It’s just summer time and it’s gorgeous and life is hectic. When I finally get time to sit and relax, I want to spend that time with hubs. So I do. I’ll find the time again one day. But until then, I just wanted to let you all know we are still here and are doing well and are loving life (for the most part. hehe).

The Special Mother
The Special Mother by Erma Bombeck Did you ever wonder how mothers of disabled children were chosen? Somehow I visualize God hovering over the earth selecting his instruments of propagation with great care and deliberation. As He observes, He instructs His angels to make notes in a giant ledger. “This one gets a daughter. The Patron saint will be Cecelia” “This one gets twins. The Patron saint will be Matthew” “This one gets a son. The Patron saint…..give her Gerard. She’s used to profanity” Finally He passes a name to an angel and smiles. “Give her a disabled child”. The angel is curious. “Why this one God? She’s so happy”…

I would have made a deal with the devil himself
Since my last post, things got crazy in the A household. We were finally finding our routine, our normal after introducing another member to our family. And N threw us yet another curveball. A big scary curveball. I turned to leave the room to spend some time with E before his nap and as I got to the door something told me I needed to turn around. To get closer to my son. That’s when I noticed something was horribly wrong. *enter 911* I thought I knew what pain was. I didn’t. Pain is holding your child and not knowing what the future is going to hold and crying out…

It is what it is
“I used to think it was awful that life was so unfair. Then I thought, ‘wouldn’t it be much worse if life *were* fair, and all the terrible things that happen to us come because we actually deserve them?’ So now I take great comfort in the general hostility and unfairness of the universe.” ~Babylon5
